Back in 2011, I was charged with the task of writing the content for the consumer focused Bristol Bay Sockeye website. I wrote the website copy, the fishermen profiles and developed recipes using Bristol Bay Sockeye. I also photographed the recipes that I developed.
In February, the marketing coordinator at the Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association asked me to help with website's redesign and overhaul before Seafood Expo North America, which is taking place in Boston right now. I was pleased all of the original content that I wrote three years ago remained relevant, strong and useful. As a result, we were able to focus on the graphic editing and designing of the site. We also worked hard to make sure it met consumer and market needs and was seamlessly fluid with many social media arenas.
The new website, Bristol Bay Sockeye, is being showcased at Seafood Expo this week and many of the new features include a full suite of recipes including chowders, sandwiches, salads, appetizers and strips. The website also offers downloadable materials for professionals in the seafood trade.
So, with salmon season not all that far away, head over and check out the new Bristol Bay Sockeye website!
